Part of the Resicom Company Ethos has always been to give back to the community in a socially responsible way. This stems from Resicom CEO Stephen Mitchell’s personal philosophy that should you be fortunate enough to enjoy success in business, then it is your responsibility to not only improve your own circumstances, but those around you and the wider community in general.
As such, Resicom has supported a number of charities and causes over many years and it was with great excitement that we learned this week that one of our sponsored children in Bali graduated high school and has found full-time employment.
Around 6 years ago, Resicom sponsored Ayu, a young girl in rural Bali through the Bali Children’s Foundation (BCF), who provide English, environmental and computer studies for disadvantaged children in 76 communities throughout Bali, Nusa Lembongan, Lombok and the Gilis.
In December 2013, the Resicom Team were fortunate enough to be able to visit the village school where Ayu resided and was attending high school, a fond memory for all concerned.
We received the following letter from the Bali Children’s Foundation on Friday 10 January 2020;
Thank you for your valuable support of Ayu’s education. Your sponsorship has enabled her to successfully graduate from school after completing Year 12 in July 2019.
Ayu has now commenced full-time employment.
Education offers these children the skills to become an active part of Bali’s developing economy. They’re improving their own lives while enriching the lives of the people around them – and you’ve been an integral part of this process.
We trust you’ve found your sponsorship experience with BCF to be rewarding. If you would like to continue your gift of education to another child, we have many students in Elementary school needing sponsorship – feel free to get in touch and we can make those arrangements for you.
Once again, our sincere thanks for your support of Ayu.
If you’d also like to get involved with the Bali Children’s Foundation or sponsor a child you can visit the Bali Children’s Foundation website.
